Bake as biscuits or over fruit to make a fire seasonal cobbler!
Baking dish, cookie sheet, or oven-safe skillet
One stick (8 Tbs.) of unsalted butter
1/2 cup ice cold water
(Fix the cold ice water. Then, measure out 1/2 cup)
Preheat the oven to 375F degrees.
Pour the contents into a large bowl.
Grate in the cold stick of butter and stir to coat the butter in flour. -OR- Cube the butter, and with your hands, press it into the dry ingredients until small, coarse pieces appear coated in flour.
Pour in the water. Stir until there's a wet batter.
Giving them room to spread, scoop out and drop what will be
6 jumbo biscuits or 8 classic size biscuits
onto the baking dish of choice.
Bake for 14 minutes. DONE!
Serve with butter, jelly/jam/preserves, honey, syrup, as a side to your favorite meal, or scoop over fruit for cobbler!
Next time: mix in shredded cheddar and herbs!
